Matthew Watson

Founder / Attorney at Law

As an attorney, I offer my over 20 years of experience, and work hard to add value to my clients' lives. I operate under my own personal code of integrity, honesty, and hard work. My diplomatic yet assertive approach to conflict resolution allows my clients to obtain high quality results in a cost-effective manner. I have put together an excellent, well qualified and well trained team who work well together in assisting our clients to obtain their goals. I am passionate about my work and extremely proud of what I do.

I study and speak Spanish, and am proud to be a Fronterizo.

I am also passionate about wellness, and seek to improve myself physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally each day. I am a student of the human being and its capacities, employing the study of the ancient traditions of a yogic life-way to maintain a healthy body, mind and spirit. I am pleased to share that passion with others, although I understand that there are an infinite number of healthy pathways to health and success. Mine just works for me. I currently share that passion through leading a class each Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at Indigo Yoga.

I am a proud father of four grown offspring, and abuelo to two beautiful and vibrant grandsons. I have a handful of amazing friends and others close to me, who, along with my family, comprise my tribe. Time with my tribe is invaluable.

I believe life is inherently abundant, and seek to live within that abundance, inviting others to share in that mentality.

I love adventures, exploring new cities or laying under the stars in the backcountry or at the edge of the ocean. I am particularly passionate about New Mexico, and wander freely from North to South, enjoying all the lovely things and people in and around the Land of Enchantment.

Nicole Carpio

Paralegal / Practice Manager - Bilingual

I am passionate about assisting clients' with their legal needs. I have experience in Family Law and Civil Law. My legal career began as a receptionist in a Family Law office. With my growing knowledge and understanding of the law, I began quickly advancing in different positions and working my way up.

With almost 15 years working in the legal field, I have gained invaluable experience with each attorney I have worked for and I am happy to be a part of the Matthew Watson Law Firm.

I was born in El Paso, Texas and moved to Las Cruces when I was 10 years old. I am a mother of 3 beautiful grown children all of which are students at NMSU. I enjoy spending time with my family whether it is hanging out at home, going on a country cruise, or finding the best TACO TRUCK in town.

Madison Watson

Lead Technical Assistant

Growing up around the legal field I have grown a passion for helping people solve their problems and I enjoy seeing the positive impact that comes with that. I am eager to broaden my understanding and expand my knowledge while working at Watson Law.

I was born and raised in Las Cruces, and I am currently a full-time student at DACC. When I am away from the office, I can be found cooking and baking new recipes and bringing family and friends together for a homemade treat. I am a proud auntie of two little boys and enjoy spending as much time possible with them.

Vanessa Delgado

Paralegal

My passion for the legal field began while I was attending New Mexico State University for my Bachelor of Criminal Justice. I discovered the paralegal profession during one of my courses and decided that was going to be the career path I would pursue. After completing my Bachelor of Criminal Justice I elected to take it a step further and enrolled in the Paralegal Studies program at Dona Ana Community College. In 2008, during my time at the Community College, I secured my first job as a Paralegal. Since that time, I have continued working in the legal field gaining extensive experience in the civil realm to include, but not limited to the areas of real estate, litigation, water law, probate and estate planning. I am also a member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of New Mexico and enjoy continuing to educate myself in various legal topics.

In my spare time you can find me hanging out with my family, including our two dogs and one cat, curled up on my couch reading a good book or at the movies.
